About WCAAHC
OUR MISSION
The mission of the Warren County African American History Collective (WCAAHC) is to engage public, private, and non-profit organizations and individuals to work towards the common purpose of collecting, documenting, preserving, and presenting Warren County's authentic histories.
OUR VISION
The Warren County African American History Collective provides resources, partnerships, forums, and education grounded in accurate, meaningful, and compelling historical inquiry. The Collective works to support the community and future generations in their work to celebrate the contributions of African Americans and other ethnicities, end racism, and ultimately create a better society.
OUR GOALS
Though they may change, current goals of the group include building or investing in a physical depository of historical information and artifacts available to the Warren County community; developing historical curricula for use by educators in K-12 schools in Warren County; organizing a series of speaker events and community dialogues about historical events in Warren County; and creating exhibits, books, virtual platforms, documentaries, and other products to share stories of Warren County to intergenerational audiences.
